IMO just an insane value for the money. Super light and sharp enough.

Handheld on the X-H1 just for fun.

Have you ever thought about the feelings of those who spent $1,800 on the Fuji 100-400 while you show off your cheap little $200 dollar 50-230? Have a heart :)

    Lol... my bad. :)

It’s clearly not as good but I just hate seeing this lightweight little lens not get all the love it deserves.

I dunno. I've got one myself. I bet it's pretty darn close from 100 to 230. I'd like to see someone post the same shots on both lenses just to see.

Hey wait. I just noticed you have the 100-400. You should post some comparison photo's just for fun.

    Yep - there’s a noticeable difference but not 10X better. :)

I think the 50-230 gets you 70% of the way there for 10% of the $

Dang it. I'm sorry to hear that. That means I'm gonna have to spend a bunch of $$$ to get what I want :)

Cannot lie - the 100-400 is one of the best Fuji lenses period. ZERO regrets.

Impressive. I got mine free with the X-E2, but I have hardly used it. I must rectify that asap

Compared to my 56mm 1.2 and 23mm 1.4 the XC50-230 looks and feels pretty naff BUT for under £100 on eBay you can't really go wrong, IMHO it punches way above it's price bracket!
I was going to sell it a while back as I don't really use many of the photo's I take from it, I mostly just use it as a monocular when I am being nosy on holiday :)
In the end I decided to keep it as it's cheaper and possibly lighter than a posh pair of binoculars with image stabilising - plus of course I can get photo's from it :)
