Mitakon 35mm 0.95 worth it if you already have the XF 35mm 1.4?

This first photo was taken with the XH1 and Mitakon 35 of the case/box that it comes in. I use this for my memory cards 2A1BFAF1-4525-4084-91AB-CE1E994F829B.jpeg

I couldn't resist the $419 price tag so picked one up today. The flickr photo album with sample images from the lens showed wonderful rendering. Also, the ****************** gave it rave reviews saying it's 10/10. He may not be liked very much but his lens recommendations are usually spot on. More sample images coming soon.

It is. The lens is heavier than the body !

I got my lens today and I am very impressed. The build on mine is literally perfect. Very tight fit to the mount with zero slop; I have Fuji lenses that have a looser fit. The focus ring and aperture is also perfect both in terms of resistance, smooth operation, and feel.

The lens is much smaller than I expected. It's actually a very compact lens and it has some heft to it, but nothing bothersome.

I have a lot more testing to do, but the performance so far is really good even at 0.95. The lens manages to retain good contrast wide open and color fringing is very well controlled. I think my Fuji XF 16mm 1.4 has more fringing and chromatic aberrations wide open than this lens.

Really great colors too and super sharp even wide open. I can't believe they sell it for this price.

Congratulations. When did you get yours? Mine arrived today.
Indeed, it is fantastic. This may become my favorite lens.

Oddly enough, the Mitakon 35mm 0.95 has a regular, common clamping force on my X-T1 but a downright dangerously tight fit on my X-T100. I have to use too much strength to dismount it.

Interesting. I have a X-T1 still so it's no a problem for me. Hopefully it doesn't become and issue if I get another Fuji camera.

I did some more sample shots and the performance at 0.95 is not an issue. I photographed a piece of glass and saw dust on the rim. Incredible!
