    ...I don't usually take my XT1 / 18-55 on walkabout as I find it too bulky but there's no doubt that the results are superb. This image was taken whilst out walking the Hampshire Downs and I doubt that the scene has changed much in the last few centuries - hence it has been processed with that in mind.

    What a wonderful evocative image.
    Reminds me of those long days of school holidays in the fifties, when we would venture out for hours at a time.
    As you say, this could have been then.

    Yes, but we tend to forget that aside from a brief 100-150 years in history when TV and film were limited to shades of gray, everything else, from the the first sunrise at the dawn of time, was in color.
