    I used to live in Bucktown and frequent Lakeview often. I miss the city.

    Thanks for sharing. Brought back some good memories.

    Spent 2 years in SD many years ago ('12/69-11/71). Berthed at NAB Coronado, worked down at IB in what is now a SEAL base. Different mission back then. I liked San Diego a lot, considered staying when I got out in '73 but returned to IL. My Flickr stream has tons of Lakeview pictures since I'm a lazy photog.

    LOL, I was stationed on the other side of the blue bridge back in '80-81. Absolutely loved San Diego and surrounding area. Can't believe I ever left.

    Me as well but that is how it goes sometimes. I think it's a hard place to make your way without a network or job waiting for you. With my NEC there was not much for me as a civilian and a girl I thought (maybe hoped) would wait, didn't.
