Taken with X-T1 and 18-55mm during a 1940's day at the Crich Tramway Museum, Derbyshire, UK.
Interesting! Did you see any trams and were any people smoking?
Great nostalgic photo!
Is that a 48 or 50-star American flag on the Jeep?
Did see a fair few trams, think they had five in service including one with the windows covered as they would have been in wartime.
Not so authentic that smoking was allowed, would imagine vast majority at that time would have had a cigarette in their hand or mouth
Good day out though and surprised how many people dressed up in authentic clothing, some were paid renactors, but awful lot were visitors.
Thank you, sorry no idea with the flag, most renactors pay great attention to detail and expect it would be correct for the WWII period.
Thanks for this interesting post.
That looks like a lot of fun. I wish we had something like that in the States.
All the rage over here, everywhere seems to have WW2 or 1940's events on, nostalgia is big business.
Maybe an opportunity for you?
Another one showing a bit more of the place and a couple of trams too
Nostalgia is OK, but it is not as good as it used to be.
A superb period shot.
